Practical Gypsy- Travel Resumes

Ask your employer for time off and don't be afraid of having that gap in your resume. Put your travels in that empty space. You can always say how you spent a year learning about diversity and culture. This makes you understand people from different backgrounds than your own.

Now, International travel is becoming more popular. Most people who have never traveled don't have that experience abroad where as people who have those experiences under their belts might feel more at ease with international relations and business.
